The Tillandsia usneoides mix, also known as Spanish moss, originates from South America, Central America, the southeastern United States, Bermuda and the West Indies. The plant is part of the Bromeliaceae family, which belongs to the epiphytic plants, a type of plant that grows on other plants without damaging them.

Characteristics
Spanish moss is characterised by its grey-green, thread-like, hanging leaves that can reach a height of six to twenty centimeters. The flowers are extremely small, no more than 2 mm, and rarely bloom. The Tillandsia usneoides mix continue to grow by producing new shoots at the base of the plant while the aged part dies off.

Care
