Origin
The Sansevieria Cylindrica mix, also known as the African spear, is a unique species of plant originating from West Africa, more specifically from Angola. This species belongs to the Asparagaceae family and is noted for its unusual and versatile nature.
Characteristics
The Sansevieria Cylindrica mix is distinguished by its long, cylindrical leaves that grow directly from the ground. The leaves are green in colour and have light yellow edges. They grow vertically and can reach up to 1 meter in height. Moreover, the plant rarely produces flowers under favourable conditions, but when it does, they are usually a greenish white.
Care
In terms of care, the Sansevieria Cylindrica mix is a strong and extremely resilient plant that requires little maintenance. It grows well under both low and high light conditions and prefers dry soil. The plant therefore only needs to be watered sporadically, making it ideal for those without green fingers. It is important to protect the plant from the cold and it thrives best at a constant room temperature.
