Philodendron `Imperial Red' in Rotunda Urban

Product number : CC0038369

The Philodendron is native to the tropical rainforests of South America and the Caribbean region. Most of them are true climbers that use their long tendrils to climb up other trees or rocks. The Philodendron Imperial Red is characterised by its huge glossy leaves but because the short stems seldom branch, this plant remains very compact. The young leaves are dark red and turn dark green at a later stage.

Tau develops contemporary planters made of high-quality fibreglass-reinforced plastic. The Rotunda collection consists of modern and versatile planters with clean shapes suitable for any location. The planters have a special cement-like surface texture, giving them a tough effect.

Planting system

This plant display is made up with a pot plant, filled with Vulkastrat and is equipped with a waterlevel indicator. Vulkastrat absorbs more water than regular soil and releases it gradually to the roots. Vulkastrat cannot shrink shut due to its coarse structure, which keeps the soil more airy and allows the roots to absorb enough oxygen.
