Origin
The Calathea roseopicta ‘Cora’ hails from the tropical regions of Central and South America, particularly Brazil. It is a member of the Marantaceae family, renowned for their impressive leaves. In their natural habitat, they thrive in the shadowy, humid understorey of the rainforest.

The 'Cora' variant has a fuller, more compact growth pattern compared to other species within the Calathea family. This plant can grow up to 60 cm high.

The Calathea roseopicta 'Cora' requires an environment that mirrors its tropical origin. This implies plenty of indirect light, high humidity, and a temperature that doesn't drop below 15°C. Watering should be regular and moderate to avoid drowning the roots. Preferably use low-lime water at room temperature. Excessive sunlight can fade the colour of the leaves. The plant doesn't have specific nutritional requirements, but feeding during its growth season, from spring to autumn, can promote growth. Overwintering is best done at a temperature of 16-18°C.
