Origin
The Calathea mix 6/tray is a collection of different types of Calathea plants, which are native to the tropical rainforests of South America. They are mainly found in countries such as Brazil, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. The plants are named after the Italian botanist Luigi Calathea.

Characteristics
The Calathea mix 6/tray consists of six different types of Calathea plants each having unique physical characteristics. They are evergreen, perennial plants which can grow up to an average of 60 centimetres. The leaves vary greatly in shape and pattern, but are known for their striking colours and patterns. The leaves can take on round, oval or lanceolate shapes. The flowers of Calathea are usually quite small and are often overlooked in comparison to the impressive leaves.

Care
The Calathea mix 6/tray has specific care needs. They prefer indirect sunlight and moist, but not waterlogged soil. Overwatering can cause root rot, so it's important to let the soil dry out between watering. It is also advisable to keep the plants in a place with high humidity, such as a bathroom or kitchen. The ideal temperature for the Calathea mix 6/tray is between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius. Feeding once a month with a liquid plant fertiliser promotes healthy growth.
