Guzmania Diana
Yellow
F00000091
Origin
The Guzmania Etude is a tropical plant, originating from Central and South America. The plant belongs to the Bromeliaceae family and is named after the Spanish naturalist Anastasio Guzman. He was one of the first to discover these unique plant species in South America.
Characteristics
Guzmania Etude distinguishes itself through its rosette-shaped leaves and bright red, elongated flowers. This plant has an average height of 40 to 50 centimetres and the leaves can reach a length of 30 centimetres. The flowering plant produces noticeable bracts, which are virtually the same colour as the flower stems.
Care
Despite the Guzmania Etude being from tropical areas, this plant does not like direct sunlight. A place with plenty of indirect light or semi-shade is most suitable. The plant prefers high humidity and regular spraying with water can indeed be beneficial. Watering is best done in the tube formed by the leaves, to prevent root rot. Requires a minimum temperature of 15 degrees to grow well.
