Origin
The Bromelia Cupcake mix is a hybrid plant species that belongs to the Bromeliad family. This exotic plant family originally hails from the tropical and subtropical regions in the Americas. However, the unique Bromelia Cupcake mix was created by specialised cultivators, who combined various Bromeliad species to create this specific mix.

Characteristics
The Bromelia Cupcake mix is distinct for its striking colours and shapes. Its long, narrow solid green leaves form a rosette from which a spectacular flower grows. This flower can come in various colours, such as pink, red or yellow and has a unique cupcake-like shape - which is how the plant got its name. A fully grown plant can reach a height of around 40 centimetres and usually bears a single flower.

Care
For the care of the Bromelia Cupcake mix, it is important to provide a bright, but indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves. The plant prefers high humidity, which can be mimicked by regular misting. As Bromeliads are epiphyte plants, it's important to water in the rosette of the plant, rather than on the soil. Overwatering should be avoided, especially in the cooler months, to prevent root rot.
