The Begonia 'Rebecca' belongs to the Begoniaceae family and originates from the tropical and subtropical regions of America and Africa. The Begonia genus comprises more than a thousand different species, of which the Begonia ‘Rebecca’ is a special variety.
Characteristics
The Begonia 'Rebecca' has striking, heart-shaped leaves with a rich, deep green colour. The unique colour variation is created by the silvery sheen on the leaves. The plant grows compactly and is about 40 centimetres high and wide. In the summer, the Begonia 'Rebecca' produces small, pink flowers.
Care
The Begonia 'Rebecca' likes a light spot, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. The plant requires moderately moist soil, without excess water remaining in the pot. Generally, this plant thrives best at room temperature, between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to provide a light dose of liquid plant food once every two weeks during the growing season.
