Origin

Characteristics
The Pilea hitchcockii is an evergreen, succulent-like shrub. It has distinctive succulent leaves that are glossy and firm, with a rich green colour. Its growth form is compact and it can grow up to about 30 centimetres in height and width.

Care
The Pilea hitchcockii needs a light location for optimal growth, but can also survive in partial shade. It has moderate water needs and does not like wet feet. Too much water can lead to root rot. Furthermore, it likes warm indoor temperatures and requires well-draining soil in which the water does not stand.
