Origin
The Peperomia Mistique is a house plant that originally comes from South America. There, the plant primarily grows in tropical and subtropical areas. This type of plant belongs to the Piperaceae family, also known as the pepper family. In addition to the name Peperomia Mistique, this plant is also known as the Radiator Plant.
Characteristics
The Peperomia Mistique is recognizable by its compact and round growth habit. The plant has deep green, glossy leaves that are noticeably wrinkled. The leaves are reddish-purple on the underside and green on the top. The plant can grow up to 30 centimetres high and rarely produces flowers, but when it does, they are small and white.
Care
To properly care for the Peperomia Mistique, the plant needs to be in a place with sufficient indirect light. It is recommended to pot the plant in well-draining soil and only water when the top layer of the soil feels dry. The ideal temperature for this plant is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Like most house plants, the Peperomia Mistique does not tolerate cold temperatures or drafts.
