Origin
The Epipremnum pinnatum 'aureum', also known as the golden pothos or devil's ivy, originates from Southeast Asia, specifically the Sunda Islands. This tropical climber has since become globally popular as a houseplant, but in its natural habitat it also grows in rainforests. Here, it attaches itself to other trees and climbs towards the light.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Epipremnum pinnatum 'aureum' are its heart-shaped leaves that are green with gold-yellow spots. These spots can vary in size. The plant can grow very quickly and easily reaches a height of 2 to 4 metres. Another specific characteristic is its air roots with which the plant attaches itself to the ground, making it an extremely suitable climber.

Care
Despite its tropical origins, the Epipremnum pinnatum 'aureum' is not demanding in terms of care. The plant thrives well at normal room temperatures and needs sufficient, but indirect light. It is important to keep the soil slightly moist, but too much water can lead to root rot. It is also advisable to support the air roots with climbing aid, such as a moss pole.
