Origin
The Pogonatherum Paniceum, also known as the baby panda grass, can trace its origins back to Asia, with its habitat primarily located in regions such as China, India and Vietnam. It predominantly grows in subtropical to tropical areas, giving a glimpse of the type of environment in which the plant thrives.

Characteristics
The Pogonatherum Paniceum can be recognised by its narrow, grass-like leaves and head-shaped inflorescences or flowerheads. This plant can achieve a height of approximately 0.6 to 1.2 meters and prefers bright, indirect sunlight. An interesting characteristic of the plant is that it is a fast-growing species.

Care
While the Pogonatherum Paniceum enjoys lots of light, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight, as this can lead to leaf burn. The plant thrives in well-drained soil and requires regular, moderate watering, but should not be waterlogged. Moreover, the plant can occasionally use a light fertiliser for optimal growth and health. Although the plant can be cultivated indoors, it can thrive even better outdoors with sufficient care.
