Senecio Cephalophorus
F00000371
Origin
The Aloë humilis shark originates from South Africa. This desert plant is cultivated in various places around the world, but it particularly thrives in dry, arid areas. This special succulent is often found in the collections of cactus and succulent enthusiasts.
Characteristics
The Aloë humilis shark is a succulent with distinctive characteristics. It is known for its characteristic blue-green colour and its spiky appearance, which is reminiscent of a shark's fin. The plant has short, sharp 'teeth' along the edges of the leaves, which point upwards instead of outwards, making it appear as though the plant has a sort of 'shark jaws'. Also, during the growing season, the plant has small orange flowers.
Care
Sunlight and water are central to the care of the Aloë humilis shark. It needs plenty of sunlight and should be watered regularly, but not too much. The soil needs to be well-draining to prevent water from standing in the pot. Temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius are not suitable for this plant, so in colder climates, it is advisable to keep the Aloë humilis shark indoors.
