Senecio peregrinus dolphine
Product number : F00001864Origin
The Senecio peregrinus, also known as the 'Dolphin plant', is native to South Africa. This unique succulent owes its existence to horticulturists who developed this crossbreed from the Senecio articulatus and Senecio rowleyanus.
Characteristics
The striking characteristic of the Senecio peregrinus is its remarkable leaf shape, which bears a resemblance to a pod of leaping dolphins. When mature, the plant grows to 15 to 30 cm in height and forms long hanging stalks dotted with the dolphin-shaped leaves. The plant also produces small white flowers that give off a sweet cinnamon scent.
Care
When caring for the Senecio peregrinus, it is important to position the plant in well-draining soil and expose it to ample light. Overwatering should be avoided as, like other succulents, the Senecio peregrinus prefers drier conditions. The plant thrives best in a stable temperature environment and prefers not to be exposed to temperatures below ten degrees Celsius.
