Origin
The Euphorbia Milii mix, also known as the Crown of Thorns, traces its origin back to Madagascar. It was first introduced to the western world by the French botanist Pierre-Bernard Milius in the 19th century. The plant belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family, which is known for its vast diversity of species and forms.
Characteristics
The Euphorbia Milii mix is a succulent variety characterised by its vibrant flowers and sharp thorns. It has fleshy, green leaves and grows in the form of a shrub. The flowers, which can be of various colours, bloom all year round. The plant can reach a height of 90 cm to 120 cm.
Care
Taking care of Euphorbia Milii mix is relatively easy. It requires plenty of light, but direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf burn. The plant has average water needs; in summer water should be provided once a week, whilst in winter watering once a month is sufficient. Inaccurate or over watering can lead to root rot. The plant grows best in well-draining soil.
