Origin
The Pellionia repens 'Variegata', more commonly known as the Trailing Watermelon Begonia, has its origin in Southeast Asia. It was first discovered in the forests of Vietnam and Malaysia, where it thrives in the tropical climate and rich, moist soil.

Characteristics
This plant boasts striking, colourful leaves which form its most outstanding characteristic. The long, flowing stems are speckled with oblong, undulating leaves that range in colour from dark green to purple, with veins of silver or pink. The leaves of the Pellionia repens 'Variegata' have a velvety texture and a glossy surface, highlighted by the contrasting colour palette.

Care
Cultivating the Pellionia repens 'Variegata' requires careful attention to detail. It prefers a humid environment with indirect light and temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Watering should be moderate, with good drainage to prevent root rot. Despite being a tropical plant, this variety can survive for a time without water, but it really thrives in humid conditions.
