Origin
The Phalaenopsis Multiflora Optifriend Yellow originates from Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines and Indonesia. These regions are known for their warm, humid climatic conditions. The Phalaenopsis, commonly known as the butterfly orchid, has therefore managed to adapt to such environments.
Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis Multiflora Optifriend Yellow is characterised by its light, sunny yellow flowers that bloom in large numbers. This gives the plant its nickname 'Multi-flora'. The flower petals have a smooth texture and are on average 8 cm wide. The leaf of the plant is wide, shiny and dark green in colour.
Care
Care for the Phalaenopsis Multiflora Optifriend Yellow requires a warm environment with an average temperature of 20-22 degrees Celsius. The plant also needs plenty of light, but direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent the leaves from burning. Regular, but moderate watering is required and the water must be able to drain away completely, to prevent root rot. In addition, it is recommended to feed the plant once a month with a balanced orchid feed.
