Origin
The Rosa Bengali Kordana Grande, also known as the Bengali Rose, originates from Asia, specifically Bangladesh. The Bengal was one of the first varieties of rose introduced to Europe. However, the Rosa Bengali Kordana Grande as we know it today is a cultivar particularly selected for pot and indoor cultivation.
Characteristics
The Rosa Bengali Kordana Grande is loved for its abundant blooming with large, bright red flowers. This rose can grow up to 50 cm tall. A distinguishing feature of this species are the shiny, deep green leaves that form a beautiful contrast with the red flowers. The flowers have a light, pleasant scent.
Care
While this rose is relatively easy to care for, it does require a certain degree of attention. It prefers a sunny spot, but can also tolerate partial shade. The Rosa Bengali Kordana Grande likes well-draining, nutritious soil and regular watering is a must, especially during dry periods. Despite this rose being grown indoors, it is advisable to protect the plant in winter from overly cold temperatures. Generally, the Rosa Bengali Kordana Grande is a strong rose that is good at resisting diseases.
