Origin
The Sedum forsterianum Oracle is a succulent plant originating from Europe. More specifically, this species can be found in the warmer climates of Western Europe, including Portugal, Spain and France. There have also been reports of its natural occurrences in North Africa.
Characteristics
The Sedum forsterianum Oracle, also known as Smale's Stonecrop, grows in the form of green mats with small, oval, fleshy leaves. In the late summer and early autumn, small, bright yellow flowers emerge from the leaf clusters. The plant tends to grow both in height and in width, with the stems spreading across the ground surface to form new root clusters.
Care
Caring for the Sedum forsterianum Oracle involves providing well-draining soil, sufficient light, and moderate watering. The plant prefers full sun but also tolerates semi-shade. In the winter, it is advisable to protect the plant from cold and moisture, as it is not well-suited to severe frost. Furthermore, this Sedum species requires little feed, an annual replenishment of organic fertiliser is sufficient.
