Origin
The Sedum acre, also known as Goldmoss Stonecrop, originally hails from Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia. This perennial succulent prefers open, sunny, and rocky habitats, and is often found in rocky areas.
Characteristics
The Sedum acre is an evergreen perennial that can grow up to 10cm high. It has clusters of small, yellow, star-shaped flowers that appear in the summer. The fleshy, green foliage is covered with small, white hairs and is rounded or conical in shape. The Sedum acre spreads through creeping stems that form new plants wherever they make contact with the ground.
Care
The Sedum acre is a low-maintenance plant that tolerates both drought and poor soils. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is resistant to both drought and cold weather. For healthy growth, annual fertilization and occasional watering is sufficient. Pruning is not required unless the growth becomes unmanageable. Propagation can be achieved either through cuttings or by dividing the plants in spring.
