Origin
The Miscanthus mix tray, also known as the Maiden Grass, originates from East Asia. It is a type of grass that grows in the wild in various locations, from subtropical lowlands to mountains at an altitude of up to 4000 meters. This plant has adapted to a wide range of environments.
Characteristics
Miscanthus is a deciduous, perennial plant that grows in large clumps. The plant is characterised by its long, narrow leaves and slender stems of steel blue to silver green. In the late summer and early autumn, the plants flower with plume-like inflorescences. It's a fast-growing plant that can reach a height of 3-4 meters under ideal conditions.
Care
Despite its exotic origin, the care of the Miscanthus mix tray is quite straightforward. The plant requires full sun and well-draining soil. Occasionally watering is sufficient, especially during prolonged dry periods. It is also recommended to lightly prune the plant in the spring to encourage new growth. In harsh winters, a little winter protection may be helpful, although the plant is quite hardy.
