Origin
The Pennisetum mix, also known as the Fountain Grass, originally comes from the tropics and subtropics of Africa and Asia. Over thousands of years of dispersion, they are now found in nearly all continents.

Characteristics
Pennisetum mix is a perennial grass species with an attractive, graceful structure. The plant is known for its fluffy, brush-like flower spikes that give the plant a distinctive appearance. The colour of the leaves varies from green to dark red, and the flowers are usually pink or purple. Each flower has numerous hair-like stamens that contribute to the brush-like appearance.

Care
Pennisetum mix requires a sunny to semi-shady location and well-draining soil to grow optimally. It is a drought-resistant plant, which means it does not need water often, but the soil should not dry out. In the winter, the plants need to be protected from frost. From spring to autumn, you can fertilise the plant with a general, balanced fertiliser to promote growth.
