Origin

More specifically, this species comes from the region of Borneo, an island encompassing three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei. The plant is found in this environment under the dense shade of the forest floor.

The Alocasia 'Cuprea Red', also known as 'Red Secret', is a striking plant with a unique appearance. The plant is characterised by the large, heart-shaped leaves with a metallic red sheen, from which the species derives its name. The texture of the leaf is leathery, and the leaves can reach lengths of 30 to 50 centimetres. Provided with optimal growing conditions, the plant can reach a height of 1 to 1.5 meters.
