Origin
The Homalomena wallisii 'Camouflage', also known as the Camouflage Plant, originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. This plant can be found growing wild in areas with high humidity such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Characteristics
The Homalomena wallisii 'Camouflage' is distinguished by its striking leaf pattern consisting of various shades of green. The heart-shaped leaves grow into a lance shape and can reach up to 40 centimetres in length. The plant grows as a bush and can reach a height of up to 60 centimetres under optimal conditions. Furthermore, the stems of this plant are thick and succulent, aiding in water retention.

Care
The care of the Homalomena wallisii 'Camouflage' involves sufficient indirect light. Although the plant can thrive in semi-shade, light enhances the colour intensity of the leaves. The plant prefers high humidity, therefore regular misting is recommended. It is important that the soil is well-draining to prevent root rot. A feeding schedule every two to four weeks during the growing period is recommended. During winter months, the plant can be placed in a cooler and less lit location.
