Origin
The Campanula portenschlagiana Porto Ice White is a variant of the Campanula family that originates from the Dalmatian mountains in Croatia. This plant species, also known as the Dalmatian bellflower, can be found in the wild on rocky terrains and in the cracks of cliffs.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Campanula portenschlagiana Porto Ice White are the beautiful ice-blue bell-shaped flowers that bloom from June to August. The plant can reach a height of about 15 centimetres and has a creeping growth habit, making it an excellent ground cover. The leaves of the plant are dark green in colour and the stems are covered with a fine hairiness.

Care
The Campanula portenschlagiana Porto Ice White thrives best in a sunny to half-shaded location and in well-draining, fertile soil. To promote flowering, it is recommended to regularly remove the faded flowers. During dry periods, additional watering is necessary, but avoid the soil from becoming waterlogged. In winter, the plant can withstand frost down to -15 degrees Celsius, although some protection against extreme cold is desirable.
