Chrysanthemum mix

Origin
The Chrysanthemum mix, commonly known as the Chrysanthemum, has its origins in Asia and Northeast Europe. More specifically, the plant originally comes from China and Japan where it has been cultivated for centuries. Over the centuries, it has spread all over the world.

Characteristics
The Chrysanthemum mix is recognisable by its versatility in colours, ranging from white, yellow and pink, to red and purple. This flowering plant is characterised by the beautiful flower heads that usually have a different colour in the centre than the petals themselves. The Chrysanthemum typically has a flowering period from September till November, during which many colourful flowers appear on the plant that can have a diameter up to 15 cm.

Care
The care for the Chrysanthemum mix is relatively simple. The plant prefers a place in the half-shade or full sun, and prefers well-draining soil. It is important to water the plant regularly, but to make sure that no water remains in the pot, which can cause root rot. In addition, it is recommended to feed the plant with fertiliser during the flowering period.
