Origin
The Peperomia caperata 'Red Luna', also known as the Radiator Plant, originates from the Amazon region of South America. Here, the plant thrives in the shady understorey of the rainforest, a humid and warm environment.

Characteristics
The Peperomia caperata 'Red Luna' is known for its striking leaves. These are heart-shaped, rich in texture and boast an attractive dark red colour. The plant remains relatively small and compact, making it excellent for adorning desks or windowsills. Notably, the 'Red Luna' produces small, low-key flowers that grow on slender, upright stems.

Care
The care of the Peperomia caperata 'Red Luna' requires a specific approach. The plant prefers a light location, but does not like direct sunlight. Watering needs to be moderate, ensuring excess water can drain away to prevent root rot. In the summer, the plant can benefit from a dose of houseplant fertiliser once a month. It's important to know that the 'Red Luna' doesn't adapt well to lower temperatures, so it should be kept indoors during the winter.
