Origin
The Sundaville (Dipladenia) Pink is a tropical plant that originated in Central and South America. This flower species mainly grows in Brazil, but is also found in other warm, subtropical areas. Due to its exotic origin, the Sundaville has a preference for warm temperatures and plenty of sunlight. It is named after Brazil's famous sunsets; Sundaville literally means sun city.

Characteristics
The Sundaville Pink is characterised by its abundant pink bloom and glossy dark green leaves. This plant can grow to a height of 1 to 3 meters and grows as a climbing plant. The deep pink flowers have a trumpet-like shape and bloom from late spring to late autumn. It is a strong, evergreen plant that provides a striking colour accent in the garden.

Care
For optimal growth and flowering, the Sundaville needs plenty of sunlight, at least five to six hours a day. It thrives best at temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. The soil needs to be well-drained to prevent root rot. It's also important to water this Dipladenia regularly but sparingly; keep the soil lightly moist but avoid saturating it. As the Sundaville prefers a nutritious soil type rich in organic material, it is recommended to fertilise once a month during the growing season.
