Origin
The Rumohra Adiantiformis 'Variegata', originates from the subtropical forests of South Africa. This variety is a species of the Rumohra Adiantiformis, which has a broad distribution from Africa to South America. In nature, the plant predominantly grows in shady and moist environments.
Characteristics
The shiny, leather-like leaves with a distinctive mixed colouring of deep green and lighter, almost yellow green, characterise the Rumohra Adiantiformis 'Variegata'. The leaves have a strong fern structure and the mature plant reaches a height of 60 to 90 cm. The plant is valued for its decorative look and ability to thrive with minimal light.
Care
The care for the Rumohra Adiantiformis 'Variegata' requires a shady spot with regular, but moderate watering; to prevent the soil from drying out. It is also recommend to shield the plant from cold temperatures, as it is not frost resistant. To keep the plant in optimal condition, it is advised to periodically provide a general liquid plant fertiliser.
