Origin
The Anthurium Dark Phoenix originates from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. The plant belongs to the Araceae family and is closely related to the well-known Flamingo plant. This species has been popular with houseplant enthusiasts for quite some time.

Characteristics
The Anthurium Dark Phoenix is recognized by its dark red, almost burgundy, heart-shaped flowers that protrude above the green leaves. This explains its nickname 'Dark Heart'. The plant can grow up to 60 centimeters high and the flowering period lasts from spring to autumn. It is an evergreen plant.

Care
The Anthurium Dark Phoenix prefers a bright location, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. In addition, this tropical plant loves high humidity. The soil must stay slightly moist at all times, however without a layer of water standing in the pot. Regular misting is recommended, especially in dry air and during the winter months.
