Origin
The Echeveria 'Dark Vader' is a cultivar from the Crassulaceae family, which has its origin in Mexico. This species was created through selective cultivation techniques to produce unique colours and shapes. Designs created by Zonneveld were the basis for this plant.

Characteristics
The Echeveria 'Dark Vader' is characterised by its dark green to almost black leaves, which form a striking contrast with the bright red flowers it produces. This plant has a compact rosette shape with leaves that curl upwards. The blooming period of the 'Dark Vader' is in the spring and early summer.

Care
The Echeveria 'Dark Vader' likes a lot of light, but not direct sunlight. It is recommended to grow this plant in well-draining soil and to water it once the soil has completely dried out. An excess of water can lead to root rot, one of the most common problems with this species. It retains its colour the best in cool temperatures. It will also tolerate moderate frost, as long as it's not too wet.
