Origin

Characteristics
Ficus lyrata is characterised by its large, glossy leaves with a distinct lyre or fiddle shape. The leaves are dark green with prominent veins. Mature leaves can grow up to 45 centimetres long. This plant has an upright growth habit and a sturdy trunk.

Care
Ficus lyrata thrives best at a constant room temperature. It requires a bright position, preferably with indirect sunlight. Regular watering is necessary, but the roots should not be left in wet soil. Keeping the leaves free of dust contributes to healthy growth. Humidity plays an important role in its maintenance.
