Origin
The Phoenix roebelenii is native to Southeast Asia. This species is originally found in Laos, Vietnam, and parts of southern China. The plant grows in tropical and subtropical regions. Phoenix roebelenii is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant, mainly for its decorative appearance.

Characteristics
Phoenix roebelenii reaches a height of 180-200 cm as a pot plant. It has fine, feathered leaves that arch gracefully and have a deep green colour. The trunk is slender and often covered in fibres. Typical features are the elegant crown and compact growth habit. The leaves grow in a fan shape from the top of the trunk.

Care
Phoenix roebelenii tolerates moderate to bright positions indoors. The plant prefers well-draining, lightly moist potting soil. Water regularly, but take care not to let the roots stand in water for long periods. The ideal temperature is around room temperature. Regularly dusting the leaves promotes a healthy appearance.
