Origin
The Phoenix roebelenii originates from Southeast Asia, particularly Laos and Vietnam. This plant naturally grows along riverbanks and in moist forests. Since the twentieth century, it has been cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant.

Characteristics
Phoenix roebelenii typically reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 metres indoors. It is a single-trunked palm with elegantly arching, feather-shaped leaves. The leaves are dark green and approximately 60 to 120 centimetres long. The trunk is covered with fibrous remains and features short spines near the base of the leaves.

Care
Phoenix roebelenii prefers a bright spot without exposure to intense direct sunlight. The soil should be kept consistently slightly moist, without remaining waterlogged for extended periods. Regular feeding during the growing season supports healthy growth. The plant thrives in a location with high humidity.
