Origin
The Rhipsalis horrida is an ornamental plant that originally comes from the south and east of Brazil. In nature, this epiphytic cactus is found in tropical rainforests and is usually encountered on trees. Due to its attractive appearance and adaptability to a wide range of climatic conditions, the Rhipsalis horrida is now grown worldwide as a houseplant.

Characteristics
Rhipsalis horrida belongs to the cactus family and is a hanging or ascending plant. This plant grows quickly and achieves a length of around 60 cm with numerous branchings. The stems are thick, cylindrical and feature 7 to 15 sharp ribs, from which small white flowers emerge. The Rhipsalis horrida also bears fruits that resemble small white pearls.

Care
Despite being a cactus, the Rhipsalis horrida does not require much sunlight. Diffuse light and partial shade are ideal for this plant. It doesn't need a lot of watering, it is sufficient to keep the plant moist, but not too moist. Rhipsalis horrida grows well in well-draining soil. Additionally, this plant prefers an ambient temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
