Origin
The Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum', also known under the name Japanese Mock-orange, has its origin in East Asia, specifically in Japan, China, and Korea. Due its adaptability to coastal conditions, this plant can also be found in the Mediterranean region in Europe. Over the past decades, the plant has also managed to spread to subtropical areas in North America and South Africa.

Characteristics
The Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum' is a small, compact and evergreen shrub that can stand in full sun or partial shade. The plant is known for its dark green leathery leaves that grow in groups. In spring and early summer, small star-shaped cream-white flowers appear, which emit a strong, sweet fragrance. This shrub generally doesn't grow taller than 1 metre.

Care
In terms of care, the Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum' is quite an easy plant. It's well resistant to drought and prefers well-drained soil.
