Origin
Acer griseum originates from Central China. The species was introduced to Europe at the end of the nineteenth century. It is naturally found in hilly and mountainous regions. Acer griseum belongs to the Sapindaceae family.

Characteristics
Acer griseum is a small to medium-sized tree, reaching a maximum height of approximately 6 to 9 metres. The species is known for its decorative bark, which peels off in papery layers and has a reddish-brown colour. The leaves are trifoliate, dark green on the upper side and blue-green underneath. In autumn, the foliage turns shades of orange-red and red.

Care
