Origin
Acacia dealbata is originally from south-east Australia and Tasmania. The species was introduced to various Mediterranean regions in the nineteenth century. Today, the plant can be found in areas such as southern Europe, South Africa and parts of South America.

Characteristics
Acacia dealbata is a fast-growing tree or large shrub that can reach up to 30 metres in height. The leaves are pinnate and grey-green in colour. In early spring, the plant produces spherical, bright yellow flowers in clusters, which are accompanied by a distinctive fragrance. The bark is often smooth and light grey in young specimens.

Care
Acacia dealbata grows best in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Locations with plenty of sunlight encourage growth and flowering. The plant is sensitive to severe frost, which can limit its development. After flowering, the formation of new shoots is stimulated. Watering is required during prolonged dry spells.
