Origin
The Aglaonema 'Golden Bay', also known as the Chinese Evergreen, originally comes from the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia - specifically Southeast Asia. This plant is mainly found in the undergrowth of dense forests in countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Characteristics
The appearance of the Aglaonema 'Golden Bay' is noteworthy, with its silver-green leaves featuring impressive yellow edges. The plant has a shrub-like growth habit and can reach an average height of up to 50 cm. One of the characteristic features is that its stems are often red-coloured and under the right conditions, small, white flowers can emerge.

Care
The Aglaonema 'Golden Bay' thrives best at a location with indirect light and a temperature between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius, and it prefers high humidity. Overwatering should be avoided as the plant is more susceptible to root rot. Moreover, the soil should be sufficiently permeable so that the water can drain away well. It is advisable to fertilise the plant once a month with a standard liquid fertiliser to promote growth and development.
