Origin
The Aglaonema 'Miss Juliette' is an exotic plant that originally hails from the tropical regions of Southeast Asia. Its natural habitats are typically located in the warm, humid understory of the jungle, in countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The plant is most commonly known as the Chinese evergreen.
Characteristics
The Aglaonema 'Miss Juliette' is distinguished by its thin, elongated leaves that are dark green in colour with pink and cream hues. The plant has a tendency to develop a creeping growth habit, which makes it often used as an evergreen ground cover. The leaves of this plant can vary in length, but they are on average between 20 and 40 cm. The 'Miss Juliette' can reach a maximum height of about 60 cm.
Care
The Aglaonema 'Miss Juliette' prefers a warm, semi-shaded position. Excessive sunlight can cause the colour of the leaves to fade. In its natural environment, the plant grows in moist conditions, therefore it is recommended to always keep the soil slightly damp, without the plant standing in water. The plant requires minimal watering during the winter and should never be exposed to temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius.
