Origin
The Dracaena draco 'Compact', also known by the name Dragon's Blood Tree, originates from the Canary Islands, Madeira, Morocco, and Cape Verde. This unique plant species has since been spread and cultivated worldwide due to its decorative appearance and ability to survive in a variety of climatic conditions.

Characteristics
The Dracaena draco 'Compact' is a slow-growing, multi-trunked tree that can reach up to 25 meters in height. The dense crown is comprised of spiral distributed leaves, which have a leathery texture and are blue-green to grey-green in colour. Typical for Dracaena species, this tree also produces dense clusters of small, white or pink flowers, followed by orange or red berries.

Care
Despite its exotic appearance, the Dracaena draco 'Compact' is quite easy to care for. This plant has a clear preference for well-drained soil and appreciates exposure to direct sunlight. Although the Dracaena draco 'Compact' is drought-tolerant, regular watering promotes optimal growth. This, along with removing dead leaves and giving sufficient space to grow, keeps this plant healthy and blooming.
