Origin
The Alocasia Silver Dragon is part of the Araceae family and originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. In particular, the regions of Malaysia and Borneo harbour a high concentration of this unique plant species. Also known as Alocasia Baginda, this plant enjoys growing popularity among indoor plant lovers worldwide.

Characteristics
The most striking characteristic of the Alocasia Silver Dragon is its unique leaves. These are heart-shaped, possess a silvery hue, and have a textured, almost scaled pattern that strongly resembles the skin of a dragon. The leaves achieve an average size of 30 cm and can grow up to 2 metres tall. The Alocasia Silver Dragon rarely blooms, and when it does, the flowers are small and inconspicuous.

Care
The Alocasia Silver Dragon requires a specific care routine for optimal growth. The plant prefers indirect sunlight and temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Overwatering should be avoided as it can lead to root rot and other harmful conditions. The soil should remain moist but not soaked. In addition, the plant benefits from high humidity, which can be achieved by regular misting or placing the pot on a saucer of water.
