Origin
The Alocasia Black Jack is an exotic plant species that naturally occurs in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. It can be found particularly in the warm, humid areas of the Philippines and Borneo.

Characteristics
What makes the Alocasia Black Jack distinctive are its large, dark green leaves with an almost black tint. The leaves are heart-shaped and pointed at the ends, with strong, upright growing stems. The plant can reach an average height of about one and a half to two meters. Another characteristic is the rare flowering, where the plant produces a long, slender flower stem with a small, white flower.

Care
The Alocasia Black Jack requires specific care to maintain its optimal growth and health. The plant prefers a bright location, but avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burning. It is essential to keep the soil slightly moist between watering, however, make sure that the plant does not stand in water to avoid root rot. Finally, the Alocasia Black Jack really loves warmth, a room temperature of at least 18 degrees Celsius is recommended.
