Origin
The Alocasia Jacklyn, also known as the 'Elephant Ear' plant, has its origin in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. The species is part of the Araceae family, an extensive family of plants that are mainly found in the marshes and rainforests of the tropics. Known for their impressive leaves, the Alocasia species are often cultivated for their decorative appeal.

Characteristics
The Alocasia Jacklyn is known for her highly feathery leaves, which have a pointed shape at the ends. These plants can grow up to a meter high and have large, graceful leaves that can reach up to 45 cm in length and 30 cm in width. The leaves have a shiny texture and are dark green on top, while the underside is lighter green.

Care
The Alocasia Jacklyn thrives best at warm temperatures, ideally between 16 and 27 degrees Celsius. The plant needs plenty of light, but should avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn. Although the plant can cope well with moisture, it is important to avoid overwatering as this can cause root rot. A humid environment simulates the natural tropical habitat of the Alocasia Jacklyn and can thus contribute to healthy growth.
