Origin
The Alocasia Frydek, also known as Green Velvet or Elephant Ear, originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. This plant species is particularly abundant in countries such as Malaysia and Borneo. The mild, moist climate of these regions provides the ideal environment for this lush plant.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Alocasia Frydek are the large, dark green leaves that shine like velvet and have white veins. The leaves can grow as large as 45 centimetres in length. In addition, the arrow-shaped leaves and the high growth rate are specific characteristics of this plant species. The plant can reach a height of up to one and a half metres.

Care
The Alocasia Frydek requires specific care in order to grow optimally. For example, the plant needs a lot of sunlight and should be watered at least once a week in the summer. It is also important that the plant's soil does not dry out completely, but does get a chance to drain between watering. Finally, the Alocasia Frydek thrives best in an environment temperature of 18 to 22 degrees Celsius.
