Characteristics
Acer palmatum 'Summer Gold' is a compact, slow-growing shrub or small tree. The deeply lobed leaves are a striking yellow that remains bright throughout the summer. In autumn, the foliage turns a warm orange to red shade. The plant has a dense, bushy growth habit and generally does not exceed 2.5 to 3 metres in height.

Care
This cultivar grows best in a sheltered location with partial shade to sun. The soil should be moist, well-draining, and slightly acidic to neutral. Regular watering is recommended, especially during dry periods. The plant is hardy and generally requires little maintenance.
