Origin
The Aloe caesia is a plant from the Asphodelaceae family and originally comes from South Africa. The plant mainly grows in rocky areas and slopes in the desert-like Karoo region. This particular Aloe species is part of the rich biodiversity of this part of Africa.

Characteristics
The Aloe caesia is known for its grey-green leaves which form into a rosette. This succulent often grows to a height of 1 to 1.5 metres. The leaves are covered with small white spikes and have a distinctive, cylindrical shape. The flowers of this aloe species, which usually bloom in the winter, are red or orange in colour and stand in long, upright clusters.

Care
The Aloe caesia requires little care and is well resistant to drought. A well-drained soil and full sun are essential for healthy growth. Like other species in the aloe family, this plant can go for a long time without water, so regular watering is not necessary. Despite its resistance to cold temperatures, protection against frost is recommended if the plant lives in a climate where this can occur.
