Aloe vera barbadensis 6/tray
5ALVBKK14
Origin
The Aloe Tropical 4/tray is a species of aloe, a genus that includes more than 500 species. The plant originally comes from the Arabian Peninsula, but since then it has been widely spread and cultivated around the world.
Characteristics
The Aloe Tropical 4/tray has a compact growth habit, making it ideal for smaller spaces. The plant has long, spiky leaves that are succulent and have a green to light green colour. Like all types of aloe, it is also covered with small, pointed spines along the leaf edges. In the right conditions, the Aloe Tropical 4/tray can produce bright red or orange flowers, a visually attractive contrast with the green leaves.
Care
The Aloe Tropical 4/tray is relatively easy to care for. The plant loves full sun but can also tolerate some shade. The most important thing is that the soil is well-draining to prevent the roots from drowning. Water the aloe once a week, or even less if the plant is kept in a colder environment. It is important to be extra cautious when watering; aloes are tolerant to drought but cannot cope well with excess water. The plant does not have high nutrient needs and only needs to be fertilised once or twice a year.
