Origin
The Aloe Aristata, also known as Lace Aloe, originates from South Africa and Lesotho. This plant predominantly grows in mountainous and rocky areas, where it has adapted to dry and sunny conditions.
Characteristics
The Aloe Aristata is a succulent with hairy, green leaves that grow in a rosette formation. These leaves have white spots and soft spines along the edges. In late spring or early summer, the plant can bloom with orange to red flowers that shoot up from a long stem in the centre of the plant.
Care
In caring for the Aloe Aristata, it's important to know that the plant loves lots of light, but not direct sunlight. In the summer the plant can be kept outside, but during winter it should be kept indoors as it doesn't fare well against the cold. The soil needs to fully dry out before rewatering to avoid root rot. Well-draining soil is essential for the health of the plant.
