Origin
Aloe barberae 'Bainesii' originates from southern Africa, particularly South Africa and Mozambique. This species naturally grows in forests and on slopes. The distribution area includes both coastal regions and inland areas.

Characteristics
Aloe barberae 'Bainesii' is a large, tree-like aloe that can reach heights of up to 18 metres. The leaves are fleshy, grey-green and form a rosette at the end of the branched trunk. The trunk is thick and often branched, resulting in a distinctive, tree-like appearance. In winter, clusters of tubular flowers appear, ranging in colour from pink to orange.

Care
This plant prefers a sunny position with well-draining soil. Aloe barberae 'Bainesii' is drought tolerant and can go for long periods without water. During the growing season the plant uses more water, but waterlogged conditions should be avoided. The plant is sensitive to frost and does not tolerate prolonged cold.
